Vaevae Manava Early Childhood Centre – New Build
The Vaevae Manava Early Childhood Centre is a new build project that embodies the spirit of the Tongan proverb “vaevae manava,” which means to share resources or bind canoes together to share life. “Vaevae” signifies sharing or giving, while “manava” is a core term in Pasifika expression that can mean the heart, center, womb, or breath. This project aims to create a nurturing and inclusive environment for young children, reflecting the values of community and shared growth.
This client contracted Meridian to construct this state-of-the-art facility, ensuring it meets the highest standards of safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. The design and construction will pay homage to Pasifika culture, incorporating elements that celebrate and respect the heritage and traditions of the community.
